Root Canal Treatment

Each individual tooth has single or multiple roots, depending on the tooth and the patient. A root canal is the process of removing the infectious disease from the root portion of the tooth.

The morphology of the tooth varies from mouth to mouth. Although teeth have similar patterns in the mouth, they vary from patient to patient.

If you had a cavity, you would get a filling. The cavity is the decay that is inside the crown portion of the tooth. A root canal is very similar, except, the treatment is done in the root of the tooth.

During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the bone surrounding the tooth will become infected and a soft tissue abscess may form.

At Bee Creek Dental, we provide root canal therapy utilizing 3D Cone Beam imaging to ensure the complete seal of multiple canals within multiple roots.
